Make Summer Learning a Family Affair
School’s out for summer, but that doesn’t mean learning has to stop. Summer break is the perfect time for families to incorporate lessons into daily activities—even vacations—to keep kids engaged and their minds active. These fun, brain-friendly activities are a great place to start.

We are only on day 8 of summer learning and we have done SO much learning. We have worked on math and ELA daily.. but there's more that we've explored:
- Life cycle of seeds
- How to make butter
- How to make ice cream
- Planted and watched rooted vegetables grow
- Water safety
- A demonstration of the sources and effects of water pollution.
- Farming in a glove
- Exploration at the library
- How to make our own water filters
- How to make lava lamps
- And we made our own CHEESE!
It's not too late to join the fun, email sarmstrong@usd271.com
