If you are interested in getting on the list to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the health department or your primary care physician.
All Rooks County school districts have Spring Break next week March 22-26. The plan is to continue in-person for the week of March 29-April 1, 2021. If there is any adjustment required to the learning setting due to concerns in the schools or the county, we will update your family quickly following a decision. Thank you for everything you are doing to keep our students in school and our community in a healthy place. We appreciate your support, and we hope you are able to enjoy Spring Break with your child(ren).
Excitement was in the air today at SGS! We found a way to hold Community Groups! A grand reunion! ❤️
6th grade science has been learning about renewable and non-renewable resources and human impacts on the environment. We concluded this unit with a project where the students had to invent something that would be beneficial to human kind and use renewable resources instead of harmful fuels, excessive electricity, and cause pollution. They were amazed at how wasteful we are in this world, and how much we take our precious resources for granted.
6th grade ELA class read the novel “Holes” and then as an extension project they became creative inventors of products that were a play on words using their first initial. After they came up with their product, they were to design an advertisement poster and then the presentation was done as if speaking on a commercial. They did a fantastic job!
The motivation brewing in the weight room spread to SGS this morning! Win the Day! #TigerPride271
