Rooks County School Districts’ Update - October 1, 2021 “Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations.” ~ Anonymous Rooks County School Districts have been implementing the “Test to Stay” option in the junior high and high schools this week. Each Rooks County District is able to offer testing on campus to students and staff who have been identified as a close contact. If the junior high or high school student or staff test negative, he/she may remain on campus and wear a mask for the duration of the quarantine period. Staff and students may choose to remain at home during this time as well. The schools are working with county health for testing options for elementary students. We currently have 12 active cases of COVID-19 in the county and four individuals in the hospital. Rooks County has a two-week positivity rate of 13.4% as of 9/25/2021.
